This book is superbly crafted and written for the newbie entrepreneur in mind. It is for the person who is unsure about how to start up a home-based business, but wants to.
Susan Barton has written a comprehensive and informative book on starting and marketing a home-based business. She gives the reader over forty business ideas that are relatively easy to start and require very little capital investment, to think about. She then lays out for the newbie entrepreneur, briefly, what is entailed in starting up each one these businesses.
Susan Barton gives hope to the person with modest means who wants to try their hand at running a business. Her writing is easy to follow and inspirational.
If you are a person who already knows what kind of business you want, but the idea of starting it up gives you the willies; Susan Barton can help. She clearly maps out for the newbie entrepreneur exactly how to do it. She walks the reader through all of the steps, from choosing the type of business, to naming it, branding it and funding it.
This book is chock full of tidbits of wisdom for the new entrepreneur.
I highly recommend this book to anyone thinking about starting up a home-based business. It’s a book that you’ll find yourself referring to over and over.

Once in a great while, if you're lucky, a book comes along that manages to put all the pieces of a subject together in an intelligent, creative and easy to follow manner, making you wonder why it hasn't been done before. That's the kind of book I found in "How To Choose, Operate and Market Your Home-Based Business."
This wonderful book is so far off the beaten path (really, on the right path!), that reading it becomes a fool-proof blueprint of how to get your home-based business up and running successfully.
Too many "how to" books in almost any field seem to be carbon copies of each other. But, if you're as fortunate as I was with this book, you'll find it to be a hidden gem among the overabundance of dull, dreary books on this subject.
You could almost say, that if after following the steps in this book, you still can't get your home-based business established with some degree of success, you may want consider sticking with your 9-5 day job - Ms. Barton's advice is so clear and simple!
I highly recommend this book!
