About the Author
Jeffrey Fazio earned his Master’s Degree in Education in Student Affairs Administration from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and has been working in higher education for the last 10 years developing student leaders. He has taught 300-level courses in individual and group leadership and has presented at over a dozen conferences. He is a co-founder of the nonprofit 4D Mission. Previously, Jeff was a tournament chess player, accomplished race car driver (owner/driver of Jekyl Hyde Racing), award-winning graphic designer, photographer and writer. Mr. Fazio seamlessly integrates life experiences with witty humor, running secrets and tactics, and a serves as a must have literary tour guide to the budding travel enthusiast. He embraces his readers and welcomes them into his world through rhetorical questions and direct remarks. By the end, Mr. Fazio has woven multiple beautiful leadership lessons that anyone from the ordinary class teacher to the high-level business executive can relate to and apply in their day-to-day lives. This text guarantees to turn the meekest employee into a born leader. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in leadership, 5Ks, or even travel.

It reads like a personal journal

An engaging and touching book. It reads like a personal journal; honest and with real emotion. It was interesting to read about the challenges and successes of Jeff's running, his travel experiences which included couch surfing and new friendships, and most touching his commitment to Dee and 4D. My favorite statement in his leadership lessons is simple yet profound: "If you need a loser to call yourself a winner, you will never be the latter." Congratulations, Jeff!

Well worth my time, feel good story intertwined with lots of knowledge

Kudos to Jeff. If you thought running a 5k was a challegne try doing one in all 50 states in one year while also writing a very solid book/journal. Definitely good for the runner you know but also good for someone with an interest in leadership. Not to be forgotten in this is the underlying story of commitment and friendship. It may be heavily geared in running but this is really about a friendship and commitment.
