About the Author
Dr. Morris graduated from Pacific Coast Baptist Bible College and Anchor Theological Seminary. He received his Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University. Since 1978, he and his wife, Debbie, have served as missionaries in Chiapas, Mexico.
He presently pastors the Baptist church he founded in Tuxtla Gutiérrez and oversees several other churches, missions, and a Christian school. Much of his time is dedicated to training Hispanic pastors and counseling.

A Deeper Appreciation

It surprised my at first when I read this book because it seems like a subject that would not have to have to be formally discussed. Unfortunately, it appears that I am mistaken as most people have lost what appears to be the most appropriate manners in being good Christians. I believe in order to have the most beneficial relationship with Him ethical living and all that it entails do need to be given its due discussion and this book does just that. I thoroughly enjoyed the overall message of Dr. Daniel Morris in this new book Ethical: What You Must Know to Build Trust and Maintain Genuine Relationships which is having ethics is honorable. Dr. Morris shares in the mere seven chapters how to find the right balance of ethics in all areas and I have only once complaint being that I wish for more. It is a fast and easily understandable read. One not to be missed. I received a copy for this review from Life Sentence Publishing and all opinions are my own.

Great Reminders for Life!

I really enjoyed this short little book about living Ethically. Dr. Morris made what could be a dry subject pretty interesting with stories and applications. I think it would be a great book for all Christians to read and then for them to think about how to teach these things to their children. I found it to be a great reminder of how we are supposed to live.

Toward Christian Ethics

The Christian life should rightly be a constant series of choices between right and wrong. If we are change by the power of God and are devoted to follow after Christ, then that should be demonstrated in the choices we make. Life is lived out in a very complicated world. The black and white of right and wrong is many times colored in shades of grey. How are we to make those decisions when the right way is not clearly seen? How can we teach new disciples to make these difficult decisions? Dr. Morris has created a guide that can be used just for that.
Far from being able to list out a series of circumstances and what we ought to do, Dr. Morris presents a set of principles for the Christians to consider. It is a straight forward book, and written well. Dr. Morris' book would make an easy text for group studies among young Christians, as well as a great book for individual study. It is well written and without complicating the subject with overly Christian language that could make it difficult for new Christians to follow. Dr. Morris lays out a simple set of principles to move new Christians toward a biblical and ethical skill in discernment. This is a book that I would recommend to Pastors looking to teach ethics to young believers. Many times Christians abstain from things out of tradition or instruction. This is a great book to put meaning behind our restraint. It also offers many principles to fill in the gaps, when the word is silent on what believers ought to do. This principles can be put to work when we find ourselves choosing between to lesser evils. When we feel stuck between two poor choices, then these principles properly applied can be a comfort to our conscience.
