About the Author
Growing up in a small town in Southern New Jersey, Christian always had big dreams of making an impact in the world. He was frequently mentoring younger students and teammates and always loved being in a coaching role. He knew, though, that he needed to see the world and get out of his small town to truly make a difference in people's lives.
At the age of 18, Christian enrolled at the University of South Carolina where he studied business management and marketing. He moved to Boston where he mentors inner city high school students, continues to coach students on a large scale  through YEAA, and now focuses most of his attention on helping people break their limiting beliefs and maximizing their potential. I also highly recommend it for anyone who may think that they are ...

While this book may have been intended for those just coming from or going into college, I also highly recommend it for anyone who may think that they are a little more "seasoned" in the work force as well. I've been in business for the past 8 years and while I've had my share of failures and success, I could not relate any harder to this book. Christian makes his readers aware of just how much opportunity there is in this world and after reading this, I can admit that I am guilty of limiting my potential to do even greater things with my life. While I would have loved to have this book in my hand 10 years ago, I feel that the message Christian is relaying to his readers still applies to me at my age. There are certainly things in here that anyone can take with them regardless of where they are at in life. I look forward to applying the words of this book to my life and highly recommend it to anyone who wants more from life than to be content.

Powerful, Easy to Follow, Essential Message

I started this book by request of the author, Christian Chasmer, because he's a respectable colleague/friend of mine.
Upon flipping through the pages on Kindle Cloud, I stopped reading just because it was asked of me, but because the words written are incredibly meaningful and important for anyone to hear if they want to be successful. In fact, the 5 Principles outlined couldn't have come to me at a better time in my life. Not only are these 5 Principles easy to comprehend, but the book is written so well with added quotes and challenges, the principles come to life by giving you ways to put into action.

Ultimately, it took me 49 minutes to read. 49 minutes to read what could change me for a lifetime.

I plan on sharing this with my friends, siblings, and branch managers. I recommend it to anyone who wants to take an hour of their Netflix watching or Twitter scrolling in order to reevaluate what you want in your life and how to get there.

By first bad review I've ever wri
Cute, short, to the point. Nothing new or original. Not deep in any way. You can read it in one sitting. I don't think the author really understands how limiting beliefs work or are developed, and I don't think he has any idea what the law of attraction is. It felt like reading a Monday morning pep talk for a Fortune 500 company. I'm not knocking it, just keep your expectations low.

Okay for a newbie, misleading in one place

I want to start off by saying that I'm an editor who has a friend in PR, and I have works independently published, so I had low expectations for this book. But there were so many reviewers saying that their books are bestsellers because of this book. I thought I would try it out.

WHAT I LIKE
The information on mind mapping and how to organize an outline from that. It was fairly practical information. I use mind maps, and I thought that the "system" translated to a good method of organization.

The other information was easy to understand, and there were fairly useful resources provided. I didn't see canva mentioned, but maybe I missed something. That's a major one for book design.

I liked some of the information in the Kindle Book Launch Blueprint chapter. I thought it was pretty intelligent to raise your price while doing a free promo so that readers have the perception of getting a higher value. I didn't even know you can manually stop your promos, so that was good to know, too.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE
Lack of practical application information in marketing itself. I have a friend who's in PR; I *know* you need to build an e-mail list of potential buyers. What I don't know is how to go about doing that. He said to tell everybody about your book prior to the free launch--who, exactly? And how? No real practical information. There are TONS of sites where you can get your ebook listed free; why not link to some of those sites or give reasons why it's not a good idea to use them? Your launch isn't going to do anything if nobody knows about it. The only thing I saw is to hold a cover design "competition" where you upload different versions of a cover on social media and ask for votes. *Everybody* does that. Nobody pays attention to that anymore. *Maybe* if you offered a giveaway with it, that might get attention. But that's not even mentioned.

There is an awful lot of excess "information," mainly success stories.

WHAT I *HATED*
This is the reason I decided to write this review. As I said, I'm an editor. He mentions in one little spot that you should give your editor a turn-around time of 2 1/2 weeks. That it's "more than enough" time, failing to remind you that the book he's telling you to write in the writing section is around 30k words. He gives a time frame of *TWO DAYS* for an editor to do first-round content editing. With writers who know what they're doing, I can see that as reasonable for first round in a 30k "book." For new writers who have written an 80 to 100k novel, that's laughable. I can barely *read* a full-length novel in that time frame, let alone do first-round edits, even with an experienced author. If you're writing a 100,000 word novel, you can expect an actual copy editor (not a beta reader) to take approximately one week for first-round edits, if they are working on it full-time. If you are a new writer, it will take longer. Estimated time frames here are mostly true:

I don't charge their rate chart, but I've seen my time frames to be right around in line with this.

SUMMARY
There is some useful information that I'm going to re-read, but most of it is more of the same: email list, free books, cover design, editing...but the only practical information not being true marketing. This has good starter info on where to *find* an editor, cover designer, and some practical information on writing. It's okay for $0.99. If it would have cost one dollar more, I would have returned it.

For anyone more interested in the marketing side, which was the entire reason I bought this book, Your First 1000 Copies by Tim Grahl has much more practical information and is similar in marketing content.

Skip the first 5 chapters to get to the good stuff

This book contains a lot of solid, practical advice, even if a lot of it is geared towards non-fiction and I am a fiction writer. However, it takes entirely too long to get started. The first four chapters are devoted to explaining WHY you should write a book. I feel that if somebody buys a book cashed "book launch: how to write, market, and publish your book" they have probably already decided that they want to and don't need to be convinced. I would have cut the first four chapters and made the 5th an introduction.
For solid, how-to advice read chapters 6-24 and ignore the other quarter of the book.

Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

I've personally used this book and Chandler's advice to launch three fiction novels that rose to the number one spot in 3 Amazon categories. The working tips and strategies in this book are no nonsense, easy to follow, and best of all produce the results you are after. Wherever you are in your author journey, you need a few thing to help you—you need tools. But most of all you need the belief that it is possible for you to change your life and become a writer.

I was on the rollercoaster of that journey for a few years—up and down up and down—trying to figure out what worked. Nothing did. Once I read through the material in Chandler's book, why I wasn't having much success finally clicked. There is a system, a methodology that will help you self-publish your book. And it is in this one!

I buy ebooks to get 2-3 useful ideas on how I can be a better author, book marketer etc. This book has tons of them.

Common sense solutions to life's roadblocks

The author makes a number of points that should be common knowledge but usually aren't. Basically, be the bigger person. Alas, the actual book suffers from some atrocious editing, grammar, and spelling. To bad, it throws of what would otherwise be a pretty good read.

Hits the nail on the head

Kyle has created a book that most of us WISHED (At least I do) that I read about a year ago. Now I'm a social person but running into A-holes at work is not something I expect or like to put up with. However, I did and for about a year. A total photoshop ego maniac. This guy thought he was the king of the world and the only skill he had was knowing how to use Photoshop. In fact, you couldn't even joke about his stuff or he'll get all uppity about it. I wish I could get him in a WWE ring but I guess that's not going to happen. Anyways, thanks to the strategies in this book, I've learned to "manage" his presence. If I wasn't working there, I wouldn't be in contact with that guy if my life depended on it. What a relief to know that I'm not the only one who has to go through these kind of situations. I highly recommend this book if you are in a similar situation.

Where most books about vice in the West depict a rambunctious sin-scape, this one addresses money and politics. Focusing on the ambitions and resources of individual prostitutes and madams, landlords and saloon owners, lawmen, politicians, and reformers, Spude brings issues of gender and class to life in a place and time when vice equaled money and money controlled politics. Women of all classes learned how to manipulate both money and politics, ultimately deciding how to practice and regulate individual freedoms.

As Progressive reforms swept America in the early twentieth century, middle-class women in Skagway won power, Spude shows, at the expense of the values and vices of the working-class men who had dominated the population in the town’s earliest days. Reform began when a citizens’ committee purged Skagway of card sharks and con men in 1898, and culminated when middle-class businessmen sided with their wives—giving them the power to vote—and in the process banned gambling, prostitution, and saloons.

Today, a century after the era Spude describes, Skagway’s tourist industry perpetuates the stereotypes of good times in saloons and bordellos. This book instead takes readers inside Skagway’s real dens of iniquity, before and after their demise, and depicts frontier Skagway and its people as they really were. It will open the eyes of historians and tourists alike.

This is a wonderful book for any leader. Tami's book will lead you step by step to motivate and encourage you and your team to write your own story. You will set the example for everyone to become a leader. The steps in accomplishing team building are easily presented in her book. I've known Tami for many years and "The Momentum Factor" really reflects the person I know. Good job Tami.

Making medical house calls is an extremely rewarding and profi table niche practice that can be started with little or no overhead. If you already love or think you will love going into the home setting to provide primary care when health care is often scarce or unavailable, this is the fi eld for you. This book is written with nuances and scenarios of a house-call practice for an advanced practice nurse, but if you are a physician assistant, physician, or any other practitioner looking to begin a housecall practice, there is plenty of information here for you too!

FIVE-STARRED REVIEW Reviewed by Java Davis for Readers' Favorite When I first decided to read/review this book, House Calls 101: The Only Book You'll Ever Need to Start Your Housecall Practice by Dr. Scharmaine Lawson-Baker NP, I thought that I would be reading about medical professionals who decide to go "off-grid" and deliver medical care outside the bounds of insurance companies and Medicare. I was surprised to find this to be a book directed at Nurse Practitioners who want to develop house call businesses within "the system." In House Calls 101, Dr. Baker has gathered all the information one could possibly need to decide whether or not to consider such a launch. She explains the process of gathering a support team since it is impossible to achieve this goal alone. One needs to find a person to trade hours with for vacations and emergencies, a physician who will agree to sign off on any paperwork that requires a physician's signature, a cooperative pharmacist, an extraordinary bookkeeper or bookkeeping company, and possibly an office manager depending on how large the business is allowed to grow. Complying with government regulations is paramount for the process of reimbursements. The regulations are quite strict and clearly defined, and the paperwork must prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that this patient required a home visit. One chapter of this book is devoted to descriptions of the requirements. There is a special discussion of the month of January, when clients must begin paying their insurance deductibles, and what to do when working with a poor population that will have trouble paying. Dr. Baker doesn't just cover paperwork. She also discusses more work-a-day issues, like personal safety and dressing properly for clients. Dr. Baker is a cheerleader for House Calls. Her passion is evident when she talks about the rewards for both caregiver and care receiver. The Nurse Practitioner has the opportunity to really get to know clients on a more individual basis by seeing them in their home environments rather than in an office. This book is short and well-organized, with some chapters only one paragraph in length. The information is current, but I don't know how often regulations are updated, or if the author will keep this guide up to date. If a Nurse Practitioner is deciding whether or not to start up a House Call business, he or she should read this book NOW.

An absolute must for any provider looking to start a similar practice. I love how Dr. Baker gave insight into how she began her mission, how this vision translated into a career, and how we can all do the same. Way to go!

Outstanding book!!

Thank you to the author, Dr. Baker, NP.
This book is invaluable to new NPs or seasoned to start their own house call practice. It's written in a conversational, no nonsense way. I am an NP with many years experience and have wanted to attend her onsite class, however I haven't been able to. Now I can read & re-read this book full of pearls. Highly recommend!!
