An Advanced Internet Marketer was Humbled by this....Definitely worth it!

Unlike many reviewers here, I had never heard of Ryan Hanley prior to this book being published on Amazon. As a matter of fact, I had no intentions of reading a book on content marketing because I find myself as being pretty advanced in online marketing and thought this would just be a rehash of popular online information. However, some of my favorites in the industry were emphatically recommending this book – which is something most of them rarely do. So, after enough nudges, I pulled the trigger and picked it up.
First off, it became very evident that Ryan is not a ‘self-proclaimed guru’ on the subject like many try to claim but is in fact, incredibly advanced in the subject mater. Picking apart such a monumental subject, he bore into the content marketing process and ethos with precision.
After finishing the book, I will have to say it was worth every penny and ever second it took to read it (time being something I value most). I am super happy I bought a soft copy of the book because my highlighter quickly became my bookmark for it and my pages are pretty yellow and pink.
The good news for many potential readers is that it was written in a way that all levels could benefit from it. Those new to the online marketing world would benefit from it in a major way and I wish this was around when I started. For the advanced? Well, like I started this review, I think of myself as advanced but seriously feel as though I can take my content marketing to the next level. There was definitely a lot of “ah ha” moments and areas I really need to think about in the future.
After reading this book and digesting his information, I am now a big fan of Ryan’s Content Warfare podcast and frequently read his stuff on the subject. I look forward to more ‘content’ from him in the future.

Best content marketing book. Period.

I supported Ryan's crowdfunding campaign on Publishizer.com to get an advance copy of this book. Having gotten the advance copy and read it cover to cover, here are my thoughts:
I can say without a doubt Content Warfare is the best book I've read on content marketing - ever.
That's saying something when content marketing is something I basically build my business and life around, but it's true. If you're not familiar with Ryan, he's a transparent, authentic, and honest voice in a noisy, crowded marketplace...and it's a breath of fresh air.
Grab you're copy today - it will force you to honestly evaluate yourself and your business, begging the question "am I doing my best work?" - a question that more books should force us to ask, in my opinion.

This will get your attention!

The fact this book exists is evidence to why we should listen to Ryan.
He had the balls to step outside a ‘comfy place’ and ask for money for people who were paying attention.
We all stepped up. And to be open about it, I didn't think it would be quite this good. I mean, it is REALLY good.
Not just because I get a mention as a great connector (which was appreciated) but because he tells the story of how the land lies, and most of all how the battle is won.
Ryan is a lover of his life, wife and son Duke; to generalize, on the battlefield he commands attention and mobilizes you into action with every chapter. My advice is to read this with a pen or pencil in your hand, and make notes. If you do, you will start to remap how content marketing, done well, stops being an uphill battle, and starts pushing you out in front.
Well done Ryan. Great work.
