Easy, Motivational read!

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. Mahisha discusses her upbringing and as the title suggests; how she made it out of an impoverished life. Th part I most enjoyed was when she discussed the tools she uses to be more productive in her work and family life. She touched on mental health- a topic we know brings people shame (it absolutely should NOT) in the African American community. If you are looking for an easy read that will leave you motivated to strike out on your own and/or just be more of a self starter, definitely pick this up.
She also gives some health hair tips, which are always greatly appreciated!

DESIRE, FAITH, and PERSISTENCE!

!f you're an aspiring entrepreneur, this is a must read! This book is a practical reflection of one of the all time best sellers, "Think and Grow Rich!" My favorite parts of "Against All Odds" are Chapters 7 & 8...INSPIRING! A single sound idea changed everything for her and her family. Chapter 11, The Wealth Mindset, is the most powerful chapter of this book, As a Man or Woman thinks in their heart so is he or she. You'll have to read it for yourself to understand
Another reason I like the book so much is that Mrs Dellinger is very transparent about her journey to success. In other words, she kept it real! It's good to know that someone you can relate to accomplished so much by using principles that are readily available to all of us. All-in-All this book is worth reading several times over! With hard work your dreams can come true

This book was so inspiring, and wish I had had a book like this when I was young and had a child at a young age myself. I always felt you could follow in your parents foot steps or you could change your life for ever and that's just what Mahisha did.
Not only did she study and learn every thing she could but she put her mind to good use, and what engery she has to be able to have a family and be a great business women at the same time.
What imprested me the most was she shared the tools to make this come alive for someone else, lots of info on how to get into business and to push forth and reach your goals. This book is not only for young women but I think it would also inspire young men, to follow your dreams and make it come true. This book should be a requirement in schools for teenage girls to show them with hard work your dreams can come true. Well done Mahisha Dellinger and hope to see another book from you.....
